Flute edition

2024

My editioned works are an exploration of, or inspired by, my free-hanging works, similar to how a painter might create an etching or print from an original painting. They are often experiments in how those loose hanging works are transformed when stretched taut.

But not this time, in this edition of four works, I chose to revisit the path I began with Trimble from the Toile edition, where I framed a ‘snapshot’ of an earlier free-hanging work, by hanging it in front of a stretched layer.

With Trimble, the front layer hangs freely from its taut smooth background. In this group, the front layer is encapsulated along the top and the bottom, as though cascading out of and being absorbed back into the stillness.
